The "extreme weather" Crisis Cell met again at 5.30 pm, under the chairmanship of the Minister for Home Affairs, Taina Bofferding, to assess the situation.

As a result, the red vigilance "gale warning" was lifted at 6pm. A yellow vigilance will remain in force until midnight. The authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely.

The teams of the CGDIS and the National Roads Administration had to intervene 49 times in connection with the bad weather. No one was injured.

Traffic disruptions may still occur.
